'The Gray Man' is set for a limited release on July 15, followed by Netflix premiere on July 22.

'The Gray Man': Dhanush reveals he doesn’t know how he ‘ended up’ in the film, leaves everyone in a split

Dhanush, who makes his international debut with Joe and Anthony Russo's 'The Gray Man', revealed that he doesn't know he landed a role in the film. At a post-screening press conference in Los Angeles, the actor was asked how he landed the project and if he already knew about the Russo brothers prior to this. Dhanush replied, 'I don't know how I ended up in this film.' His comment left the audience and cast members in a split. The actor further explained, 'The casting agency in India told me that they have a Hollywood project for me. They said it is a big film. So I said okay. I asked which film, what film? They said it is a big film. So I said alright, and it can’t get bigger than this.'

He said he was really super thrilled to work in 'The Gray Man' and he was looking for an opportunity to explore and learn more.

Dhanush features as one of the top assassins of the world in the film.

Dhanush and Russi Brothers had recently released a video message for fans in which the actor talked about his film and described it as a 'rollercoaster.' He said 'The Gray Man' has everything - action, drama, pace and a big chase. He mentioned he was grateful that he got to do a 'modest role in this movie full of incredible people.'

Russo Brothers will come to India soon to see their ‘dear friend’ Dhanush and meet fans at 'The Gray Man' premiere in India. The film also stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick and Julia Butters.

'The Gray Man' is set for a limited release on July 15, followed by Netflix premiere on July 22.
