Salman Khan’s Kolkata show postponed: 'new date will be announced soon', says organiser

Actor Salman Khan's Kolkata show, which is part of the Da-Bangg tour, has been postponed due to security reasons. A few days back, the actor allegedly received a threatening email from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and the gang leading to speculations that the 'Sultan' actor’s show is being canceled. However, one of the organisers of the show, Rajdeep Chakraborty, refuted the reports and confirmed that the show will now happen in May-June instead of April.

In an exclusive conversation with the Times of India, Rajdeep said, 'Salman Khan’s team was in Kolkata in November-December last year and had fixed all the nitty gritty of the tour. The only problem they’re facing is over Jacqueline Fernandez’s date which we’re working on. The show’s new date will be announced soon.'

The show also features Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhudheva, Ayush Sharma, and Guru Randhawa.

As per news agency PTI, a case has been registered at Bandra police station under IPC sections 506(2),120(b) & 34 against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and another person for allegedly issuing threats to the actor. Due to the threat, the security of the ‘Sultan’ actor has been given Y+ category security.

Quoting the FIR, an official said that when complainant Prashant Gunjalkar, who runs an artist management company, was present at Khan's office in Galaxy Apartment on Saturday afternoon, he noticed an email had come from the ID 'Rohit Garg'
