'Case of Humiliation, Harassment & Exploitation': says Rajinikanth's wife on cheating case

In a big relief, Superstar Rajinikanth’s wife has been granted bail in connection with a cheating case. Earlier in the day, she appeared before Bengaluru court. She broke her silence on the case and said that it is a case of humiliation, harassment and exploitation of a popular person. She said, “this is the price we pay for being celebrities’’.

Dismissing the case, Latha Rajinikanth said that the case might not be a big one, but the news becomes very big. She asserted that there is no fraudulence and she has nothing to do with the money. She went on to claim that she has been ‘falsely implicated’ in the case.

The case dates back to 2015, when a Chennai based advertisement firm lodged a complaint against her. The ad firm claimed that they had lent out ₹10 crore to Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd for the post-production of the film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ starring Rajinikanth. The ad firm alleged that Latha was the guarantor for the same. The complainant claims that the money is yet to be settled.
