Dhanush's movie leads to heavy traffic in Tirupati, police stop the shoot | Watch

Actor Dhanush landed in trouble after his film’s shooting schedule in Tirupati caused a massive traffic jam. The Tamil actor is currently filming for his upcoming movie, dubbed as ‘D51’, in town.

The team was filming an outdoor scene in what seemed to be a market area. Due to the shoot and the gathered crowd, police redirected temple-bound devotees, causing inconvenience for locals and upsetting several people.

In the video that is now going viral, Dhanush is seen dressed in rugged clothes, sporting a messy look.

India Today stated that numerous upset devotees complained to local police about the issue. The police intervened to stop the shoot. It's important to note that the makers of Dhanush's film had acquired permission for the shoot.

A source from the film’s team told Hindustan Times, ‘Yes, there was a little issue while shooting but Sekhar managed to complete his shoot. It’s untrue that the schedule has been cut short by the police.’

      Dhanush visits Tirumala

On January 31, Dhanush visited Tirumala for Lord Venkateshwara's darshan. Adorned in a white traditional pancha set with a red and gold shawl, he greeted fans and reporters after darshan. Accompanied by temple authorities and security, fans sought selfies.

The Tirupati schedule concluded, and the next shooting location for the filmmakers is yet to be revealed.

      About ‘D51’

D51 will feature a special appearance by superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, with Rashmika Mandanna as the lead heroine, marking Dhanush's Telugu debut.

Dhanush was last seen in ‘Captain Miller’, directed by Arun Matheswaran.

The actor is also involved in his second directorial project tentatively titled ‘D50’. The film stars SJ Suryah, Dhanush, Nithiya Menon, and Sundeep Kishan in a multi-starrer cast.
