Nani and Mrunal Thakur's romantic drama, 'Hi Nanna', has won a major international award. The film, which garnered significant critical and commercial acclaim, received the prestigious award for Best Feature Film at the Athens International Art Film Festival. 'Hi Nanna' was released internationally as 'Hi Dad'.

'Hi Nanna' wins a prestigious award!

Announcing on X, the producers of Hi Nanna wrote, “Hi Nanna celebrations continue across all corners! # HiNanna was released as #HiDad and received the prestigious award for Best Feature Film at the esteemed Athens International Art Film Festival in its March 2024 edition.

'Overjoyed and deeply honoured'

The film's director, Shouryuv, said in a statement, “We are overjoyed and deeply honoured to receive this award for Hi Nanna at the Athens International Art Film Festival. This achievement underscores the power of storytelling to transcend cultural boundaries and connect with audiences worldwide. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the festival organisers, the jury, and our dedicated team, whose passion and creativity brought Hi Nanna to life.”

More about 'Hi Nanna'

Apart from Nani and Mrunal, the film also stars Kiara Khanna, Nassar, Jayaram, and Angad Bedi, among others, in pivotal roles. The film was released on December 7 last year. It is currently streaming on Netflix.
