Superstar Rajinikanth has sent best wishes to Thalapathy Vijay for his upcoming film, Leo. The film will release on October 19.

Megastar Rajinikanth is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Thalaivar 170’, directed by TJ Gnanavel.

He was seen at the Tuticorin airport in Tamil Nadu on October 16 where he briefly interacted with the media stationed outside and spoke about Thalapathy Vijay's forthcoming movie 'Leo'.

When asked about the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, Rajinikanth said that he is praying for the success of the film.

He said, ‘I wish the film [Leo] great success and I will pray for the same. I came to Tuticorin back in the 70s during the shooting of 'Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri'.’
Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' will be released in theatres on October 19 in multiple languages. Vijay's ardent fans are waiting with bated breath to watch the film.
The high-octane action thriller is produced by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy. The film's screenplay is co-written by Lokesh, Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy.
Thalapathy Vijay plays the titular role in the film.

The movie also features Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. Composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa and editor Philomin Raj are part of the technical crew.

‘Leo’ has sold 1 million tickets in India for its opening day, according to trade portal Sacnilk. First Day First Show of the film in Karnataka and Kerala will begin as early as 4 am.

‘Leo’ will release in theatres in 2D and IMAX formats alongside Shiva Rajkumar’s ‘Ghost’ in Karnataka and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The film will also clash with Ravi Teja’s pan-India venture ‘Tiger Nageshwara Rao’ on October 20.
