Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ set to go on floors from July 5, veteran actor reaches Hyderabad

At the age of 73, Rajinikanth is unstoppable. The actor has ‘Vettaiyan’ lined up for release in 2024 and is already headed to film his next. Rajinikanth landed in Hyderabad as the much-anticipated film ‘Coolie’ is all set to go on floors this month. He received a warm welcome as he met his friend Mohan Babu at the airport.

Helmed by ‘Leo’ director Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Coolie’ will go on the floors in July. Ahead of the shoot commencement, Rajinikanth has reached Hyderabad. He will reportedly be shooting for the film for around a month. A massive set has been built at Ramoji film city in Hyderabad.

Rajinikanth met Telugu star and his friend Mohan Babu as at Hyderabad airport. The two legendary actors were seen sharing some candid moments as they exited the airport.

More about ‘Coolie’

‘Coolie’ is reportedly a period action drama featuring Thalaiva as a gold smuggler. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has promised to present a never-seen-before avatar of Rajinikanth in the much-anticipated film. He also shared a picture from Rajinikanth’s test shoot, raising the anticipation among fans.

Recently, Girish Gangadharan joined the team of ‘Coolie’. Kanagaraj shared the update on his official X handle and teased the official cast announcement. ‘Coolie’ marks the first collaboration between Kanagaraj and the legendary actor.

The veteran actor has wrapped up ‘Vettaiyan’ shooting and starting on ‘Coolie’. Besides, reports suggest that the actor is in talks with Atlee for a mega budget film which will also feature Salman Khan in the lead role.
