Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is currently promoting his smash-hit ‘RRR’ in the United States. The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan starrer won millions of hearts worldwide and it received a lot of praise from several Hollywood filmmakers. Now, there have been predictions about the film getting nominated for the Oscars. Rajamouli recently opened up about his plans if the movie does win the prestigious award.

During the question and answer session after the screening of ‘RRR’ at the IFC Center in New York, the filmmaker talked about the possibility of an Oscar nomination and said that it would be a real boost for morale for the film's unit.

'Whether RRR wins an Oscar or not, my plan for the next film is not going to change. Oscar will be a real boost for morale for the (film’s) unit and the country itself, but that’s not going to change the way I work. I constantly need to upgrade myself as a filmmaker. I have to update my tools of storytelling. That goes on the side. What I want to say and how I want to is not going to change,' he said.

'In this film, a particular guy is a villain and a particular guy is a hero. They automatically understand. They may not be knowledgeable about everything but their emotional intelligence is very high. Once we understand that as a storyteller, we don’t have to worry about other peripheral things,’ he added.

'RRR' released in theatres on March 22, 2022, and grossed over Rs 1,100 crore worlwide.
