TV actor Rituraj Singh passed away at 59. According to reports, the actor suffered a cardiac arrest.

In a round of sad news coming from Bollywood, TV actor Rituraj Singh passed away at 59. According to reports, the actor suffered a cardiac arrest. The actor was known for his role in vaious films and TV shows including the popular TV serial Anupamaa.

Rituraj Singh passes away at 59

Actor Rituraj Singh passed away on Tuesday, February 20. As per a report by ETimes, the actor was suffering from some pancreatic disease and was hospitalised recently after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The doctors declared him dead on Tuesday.

Rituraj’s close friend Amit Bhel confirmed the news of his death and revealed, “Yes he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas returned home had some cardiac complications and passed away.”

However, we are yet to get info about Rituraj’s final rites.

The actor was popular via shows like 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', 'Kutumb', 'Abhay 3' and 'Never Kiss Your Best Friend' among others. The actor was also a part of Rupali Ganguly’s superhit show, 'Anupamaa'. He has also worked in Bollywood and has been a part of movies like 'Satyamev Jayate 2' and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania'.

Rituraj's journey in films and shows

Rituraj began his journey in acting at the mere age of 12. In a previous interview with Hindustan Times, the actor had said, "I started with a children’s theatre group when I was 12 years old and at 17, I joined profession group of Barry John. I did theatre with him for 12 years, thereafter two English films, and in 1993, I did my first TV show and kept doing for 25 years. Now, it’s all about films and digital space."
