      Cartoon Network shuts down rumours after #RIPCartoonNetwork trends on social media

      Cartoon Network is special to almost every 90s kids who grew up watching shows like 'Dexter's Laboratory', 'The Powerpuff Girls', and 'Scooby-Doo'. Following the news of Cartoon Network's merger with Warner Bros Animation, several social media users paid tribute to the beloved channel, which was founded on October 1, 1992, and recalled the iconic shows they watched on the channel. ‘RIP Cartoon Network’ trended on the internet, after which the channel issued a clarification, saying that it is not dead and it is not going anywhere.


      “Y’all we're not dead, we're just turning 30. To our fans: We're not going anywhere. We have been and will always be your home for beloved, innovative cartoons. More to come soon! #CartoonNetwork #CN30 #30andthriving #CartoonNetworkStudios #FridayFeeling #FridayVibes,” tweeted Cartoon Network.


      The tweet further read, ‘When the internet says you're dead but you're sitting here like.'
      According to Collider, Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios will consolidate their animation teams as part of a 'strategic realignment' for Warner Bros Discovery.


      According to ABC News, Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) on Tuesday announced that they were cutting 26 percent of workforce, for a total of 125 positions, across scripted, unscripted, and animation.
