30 tigers dead in India in first 2 months of 2023: watch why officials are NOT worried

Following 30 tiger deaths in just the first 2 months of 2023, officials have reportedly said that there is no reason to be alarmed. Madhya Pradesh topped the list with 9 tiger deaths, while Maharashtra recorded 7 deaths.

Officials at the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) were quoted as saying by The Indian Express that tiger deaths usually spike between January and March, as the wild cats leave their territories and venture out, leading to intra-species conflict.

Officials also said that with a growing and healthy tiger population, deaths would increase as well.
