AIADMK releases AI-generated voice of late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa ahead of LS polls

The AIADMK party on February 23 released an Artificial intelligence-generated audio clip of iconic leader and Tamul Nadu's late chief minister J Jayalalithaa on her 76th birth anniversary.

In the clip, the venerated leader could be heard seeking support for party General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami for the upcoming Lok Sabha election and recalling the AIADMK government's welfare initiatives.

Addressing members, Jayalalithaa's voice played out said:

"Hello. I’m your J Jayalalithaa speaking. I express my gratitude to this technology, which gave me a chance to speak to you. Our party has seen many ups and downs. We have implemented many welfare schemes for women, students, etc when we were in power.

Now, on one hand, we have the Union government that’s betraying us and, on the other, the state government is corrupt and useless. On the occasion of my birthday, what I’m asking you is to ensure that AIADMK’s 'people government' comes back.

Our cadres should stand in my path and I request you to strengthen the hands of brother Edapaddi K Palaniswami. We are because of people, and we are for the people.”

” She repeated her popular catchphrase: “I am because of the people, I am for the people” (Makkalal naan, makkalukkagave naan).

Palaniswami also released the party’s election slogan: "Let's reclaim Tamil rights, Let's save Tamil Nadu,” on the occasion.
