Arvind Kejriwal claims AAP saves Delhi households Rs 25,000 monthly, vows Rs 10,000 more if re-elected

Launching the ‘Bachat Patra’ campaign, he contrasts AAP’s public welfare approach with BJP’s alleged favoritism towards corporates. With Delhi elections approaching, Kejriwal urges voters to choose policies that benefit households.

Arvind Kejriwal claims AAP saves Delhi households Rs 25,000 monthly, vows Rs 10,000 more if re-elected

Arvind Kejriwal claimed on Friday that every household in Delhi benefits from savings of around ₹25,000 per month due to the AAP government's welfare schemes.

If the party secures another term, its new initiatives will further increase household savings by ₹10,000.

Speaking at the launch of the AAP's 'Bachat Patra' campaign, Kejriwal emphasized the financial impact of his government's policies.

"Our volunteers will reach out to people and get them to fill the 'Bachat Patra,' where they will record their savings through our free welfare initiatives," he said.

Highlighting key policies, he stated that the AAP government’s initiatives, including free bus travel for students, Mahila Samman Yojana, and Sanjeevani Yojana—proposed in its manifesto—contribute significantly to citizens' savings.

With the Union Budget set to be presented on February 1, Kejriwal contrasted AAP's governance with the BJP’s economic approach. "Budgets usually bring inflation and impact household finances. But in Delhi, our government ensures savings for every family. On the other hand, the BJP has repeatedly said it will discontinue these benefits if it comes to power," he alleged.

He further accused the BJP of prioritizing corporate interests over public welfare. "We use the budget for the welfare of people, while the BJP directs it towards its businessman friends. In Mumbai, they handed over Dharavi land to one of their associates. In Delhi, their goal is to grab land, not to serve people," Kejriwal asserted.

With Delhi heading to the polls on February 5 and results set to be declared on February 8, AAP is banking on its welfare policies to secure voter support.
