Several Delhi Schools Receive Bomb Threat Via Email

Over 40 Delhi schools received bomb threats via email on Monday morning, according to Delhi Police. The email allegedly stated, "I planted multiple bombs inside (school) buildings. The bombs are small and hidden very well. While they won’t cause significant damage to the buildings, they will injure many people when detonated. If I do not receive $30,000, I will detonate the bombs," as reported by ANI.

Initially, DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School in Paschim Vihar, received bomb threats via email on Monday morning. This prompted swift action, with students sent home and police alerted. The threats disrupted peak school activities, including the arrival of buses and morning assemblies.

The Delhi Fire Department was first notified by GD Goenka School at 6:15 am, followed by DPS RK Puram at 7:06 am. Fire officials, along with dog squads, bomb detection teams, and local police, conducted thorough searches of the premises but found nothing suspicious.

This incident follows an earlier event in October when an explosion outside a CRPF school in Rohini's Prashant Vihar caused property damage. Subsequent bomb threats targeting CRPF schools were also emailed, but investigations determined them to be hoaxes.
