Sharing the letters in X, Kejriwal said people feel that those who love Ambedkar can not support the BJP that "insulted" the architect of India's Constitution, and asked Kumar and Naidu to ponder over it.
Shah's remark on Babasaheb was not only "disrespectful" but also revealed the BJP's perspective towards him and the Constitution, the AAP leader said in the letters to the two chief ministers.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has upheld the right of a lesbian couple to live together, affirming their freedom to choose partners.
A bench comprising Justices R Raghunandan Rao and K Maheswara Rao was hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by Kavitha (name changed), one of the women, alleging that her partner Lalitha (name changed) was detained by her father against her will and kept her at his residence in Narsipatnam.
The Court on Tuesday further directed the parents of Lalitha not to interfere with the relationship of the couple, asserting that their daughter is a major and can make her own decisions.
The couple has been &ldquo;living together&rdquo; for the past year in Vijayawada.
Based on a missing complaint by Kavitha earlier, police traced Laitha at her father&rsquo;s home, and rescued her. After that, she was kept at a welfare home for 15 days though she pleaded to the police that she was a major and wanted to live with her partner.
Lalitha also lodged a complaint against her father in September alleging that her parents are harassing her over the relationship and other issues.
After the police intervention, Lalitha came back to Vijayawada and started going to work, often meeting her partner.
However, Lalitha&rsquo;s father once again came to her place and took the daughter away forcibly in a vehicle. He kept her in his custody &ldquo;unlawfully&rdquo;, Kavitha alleged in her habeas corpus petition.
The father also lodged a complaint with police alleging that his daughter was abducted by Kavitha and her family members.
Jada Sravan Kumar, counsel for Kavitha, pointing out earlier Supreme Court judgments, argued that the detenue has expressed her unequivocal consent to cohabit with the petitioner in a shared household of the petitioner&rsquo;s parents and would never want to get back to her parents and other family members.
Kumar also informed the court that Lalitha had also expressed her desire to withdraw the complaint she lodged against her parents if she&rsquo;d be allowed to live with the petitioner.
The Vijayawada police on Tuesday produced Lalitha before the High Court following the court&rsquo;s direction.
The Bench while disposing of the petition, also made an observation that no criminal proceedings be initiated against the family members of Lalitha as she was willing to withdraw the complaint.

He has filed a writ petition in the Allahabad High Court, seeking a stay on his arrest and has also sought the quashing of the FIR registered against him. The MP was accused of instigating people on November 24 and police alleged that his provocative speech was the reason behind the violence during the survey.
In the writ petition, the MP has pleaded innocence, saying he was wrongly implicated in the matter. According to his counsel, he was not present at the place of the incident, yet he was named as accused in the FIR.

A day after a ferry-Navy craft collision claimed 13 lives off the Mumbai coast, authorities on Thursday made life jackets mandatory for all people taking boat rides from the Gateway of India.

A day after a ferry-Navy craft collision claimed 13 lives off the Mumbai coast, authorities on Thursday made life jackets mandatory for all people taking boat rides from the Gateway of India.
Some tourists, however, said the life jackets would be of help only if people know how to use them. The authorities should instruct people how to use the life jackets in case of an emergency, they said.
Some survivors of the tragedy on Wednesday claimed the ferry did not have enough life jackets.
Thirteen persons, including a Navy personnel and two contractual naval employees, were killed and nearly 100 rescued after the Navy craft carrying out engine trials dashed against the passenger ferry 'Neel Kamal' on Wednesday afternoon.
The ferry was carrying more than 100 passengers from the Gateway of India to the Elephanta Island.
Devidas Jadhav, an assistant boat inspector deputed at the Gateway of India, told PTI that they have made the use of life jackets mandatory for every passenger taking ferry boat to Mandva near Alibaug (in neighbouring Raigad), Elephanta Island or while going for a short ride of the Mumbai harbour.
Sangeeta Dalvi, who was travelling to Mandva with her husband for some work, said passengers must use life jackets as they can save lives in case of an emergency.
She also said there was no need for the people to be scared after Wednesday's accident.
"Such tragedies do not happen everyday. We do not avoid travelling by roads though everyday several accidents occur on roads," Dalvi added.
Suyesh Sharma, a tourist from Chhattisgarh who came to the Gateway of India to take a boat ride as he had time before his return by an evening flight, said life jackets does not prove much helpful in the high sea unless people know how to use them.
"Life jackets could prove helpful only when you know how to use them. Authorities should also tell people how to use them in case of emergency," said Sharma, who often takes up adventure sports like river rafting.
Boat owners from Bhaucha Dhakka (a wharf near the Dockyard Road here) said they insist that people wear life jackets, but passengers are reluctant many a times though they could prove life-saving in case of an emergency.
Ferry boats operate from Bhaucha Dhakka to trans-harbour locations like Uran and Revas in neighbouring Raigad district.
Boat owner Sameer Bamane said some passengers are reluctant to wear life jackets, citing the reason that they feel uncomfortable due to excessive heat and sweat during humid conditions.
"Tourists here do not want to wear the life jacket, but the same people use it without any complaint when they go to other countries like Singapore or Malaysia. It is because the authorities there do not allow a boat to move if even one person is without a life jacket," he said.

Delhi&rsquo;s road signages, and directional boards, including those at metro stations, will soon display information in Hindi, English, Punjabi and Urdu a move aimed at promoting linguistic diversity and representing the city&rsquo;s official languages.
Bureaucrats working with the Delhi government will also be required to display their names in the four languages on boards outside their offices.
The move aligns with &ldquo;The Delhi Official Languages Act, 2000&rdquo;, which recognises Hindi as the first official language and Urdu and Punjabi as second official languages. Currently most signboards and nameplates in Delhi display information only in Hindi and English.
In a written communication dated November 4, the Department of Arts, Culture and Language directed all departments, civic bodies and autonomous authorities to ensure compliance with the Act, following instructions from Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena The communication specifies that the sequence of languages on boards and signages should be Hindi, English, Punjabi and Urdu, with uniform font sizes for all.

The LG&rsquo;s directive also aligns with a 2011 order from the Union Home Ministry&rsquo;s Department of Official Language, which mandated states in Region A, including Delhi, Bihar and Haryana, to prioritise Hindi on public signages while deciding the order of other languages locally.
Hindi holds the top spot due to its official status and widespread usage followed by English, the associate official language of India given its prominence in administrative and communicative functions.
Punjabi is included to honour the city&rsquo;s significant Punjabi-speaking population, while Urdu because of its cultural and historical relevance.
According to the 2023 Delhi Statistical Handbook, Punjabi is spoken by around 8.73 lakh people, while Urdu is spoken by nearly 8.67 lakh people.
Shehpar Rasool, Chairperson of Delhi Urdu Academy welcomed the move, saying that he is happy to hear the news of the official implementation of &lsquo;The Delhi Official Language Act 2000&rsquo;.
&ldquo;These languages are a representation of our rich multicultural history, which is aptly communicated in an Urdu phrase &ldquo;Ganga-Jamni Tehzeeb&rdquo;. I welcome all the decisions and policies that encourage linguistic and cultural diversity,&rdquo; Rashool told PTI.

Dressed in blue, a colour associated with B R Ambedkar, INDIA bloc MPs, including the Congress' Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, staged a protest in the Parliament premises demanding Amit Shah's resignation for his remarks related to the chief architect of the Constitution.
BJP-led NDA parliamentarians also carried out a march within Parliament premises, raising slogans and carrying placards demanding an apology from the opposition Congress for allegedly insulting Ambedkar.
As the INDIA bloc parliamentarians came face to face with the ruling coalition MPs in front of the Makar Dar of Parliament, the two sides engaged in loud sloganeering in a bid to outdo each other.
The INDIA bloc members first staged a protest at B R Ambedkar's statue in Parliament premises, carrying posters that read 'Main Bhi Ambedkar', 'Jai Bhim' and 'Amit Shah maafi maango'.
They then took out a protest march on the Parliament premises. MPs of the Congress, DMK, RJD, SP, the Left and NCP(SP), among others, participated in the protest. Several opposition MPs, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and K Kanimozhi, were seen wearing blue.
Earlier, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha chaired a meeting of the Congress' Lok Sabha MPs in the main committee room.
The opposition on Wednesday seized on Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on B R Ambedkar to corner the government and demanded his resignation for what they called was an insult to the architect of the Constitution.
The attack from virtually all opposition parties, including the Congress, TMC, DMK, RJD, Left parties and Shiv Sena-UBT, led to the adjournment of both Houses of Parliament and prompted the BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to come out in stout defence of Shah.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Derek O'Brien has also submitted a notice to move a privilege motion against Shah in the Rajya Sabha where the home minister had said on Tuesday evening that Congress leaders would have got a place in heaven had they chanted the name of God rather than following the fashion of repeating Ambedkar's name.
The hullabaloo in Parliament also spilled onto the streets of the national capital and places as far as Maharashtra, Bihar and Tamil Nadu. In Delhi, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal led hundreds of supporters to gather outside the BJP office and protest noisily amid slogans "Amit Shah maafi mango, Amit Shah sharm karo".

Dr. Baljit Kaur instructed the department's officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries across the state have their forms filled out so that the maximum number of women can benefit from the scheme.

Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, has issued orders to immediately release Rs. 28 crore to about 70,000 beneficiaries to ensure the nutrition and good health of pregnant women and lactating mothers.
Providing more information on this, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, stated that the Government is consistently working to improve the nutritional and health status of pregnant women and lactating mothers. She mentioned that, during October 2024, financial assistance amounting to Rs. 22 crore has been transferred directly into the accounts of 65478 women beneficiaries under Matru Vandana Yojana scheme. This assistance was provided for the birth of the first child and the birth of a girl child as the second child.
The Cabinet Minister stated that the Government provides Rs 5,000 in two installments (3000+2000) to women aged 19 years and above on the birth of their first living child. Additionally, Rs 6,000 is granted on the birth of a second child if it is a girl. This financial assistance is provided under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana to improve the nutritional and health status of pregnant women and lactating mothers, subject to specific conditions. The primary objective of this scheme is to offer partial compensation to women to enhance their health before and after childbirth.
The Cabinet Minister further explained that the scheme aims to improve the declining sex ratio at birth of girls in the state. She also mentioned that forms for this financial assistance are filled out by Anganwadi workers at all Anganwadi centers in the state. She stated that the financial assistance is directly transferred to the beneficiaries' bank or post office accounts. She emphasized that to avail of this benefit, every beneficiary must have an Aadhaar card linked to their bank account.
Dr. Baljit Kaur instructed the department's officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries across the state have their forms filled out so that the maximum number of women can benefit from the scheme. She also advised beneficiaries to contact their district&rsquo;s Anganwadi Centers, the Child Development Project Office and the District Program Officer's office for further information.
She concluded by reaffirming that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is consistently striving to ensure the good health of women and children.

Under the Farishtey Scheme, 494 hospitals, including 90 tertiary care hospitals, have been specifically empaneled to cover a 30 km stretch along national and state highways/roads.

The Farishtey Scheme, launched by the Punjab government to provide immediate, hassle-free treatment to road accident victims, has proven to be a boon in saving precious lives.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), approximately 1,400 road accidents and 400 deaths occur every day in India, with Punjab alone accounting for around 5,000 accidental deaths annually. The Farishtey Scheme aims to address this critical issue by providing comprehensive treatment to accident victims, without any capping on the amount.
The state flagship scheme, aimed at reducing the mortality and morbidity rates resulting from injuries sustained in roadside accidents and to provide immediate, hassle-free treatment in government and empaneled private hospitals, was notified on January 25, 2024. The scheme is applicable to all the victims and sufferers of road accidents that happened in the territory of the state of Punjab irrespective of the caste, creed, nationality and place of birth of the victims and provides comprehensive treatment to accident victims, without any capping on the amount.
Divulging details, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) State Health Agency (SHA) Punjab Ms Babita said that to encourage common people to come forth and help accident victims and save the lives of the victims, such &ldquo;Farishteys&rdquo; are being felicitated with cash rewards, commendation certificates and provided immunity from legal complications and police inquiries. &ldquo;Any person who voluntarily rescue the accident victims and help them in saving their lives, will be considered as &lsquo;Farishta&rsquo; and conferred with commendation certificate and a cash prize of Rs 2000,&rdquo; she said.
The CEO said that since its launch, the scheme has provided free medical treatment to as many as 223 accident victims, showcasing its effectiveness in reducing mortality rates resulting from road accidents. So far, 66 "Farishtas" (good Samaritans) have been registered with the State Health Agency (SHA) Punjab, she added.
She said that the Chief Minister of Punjab has recognised the selfless efforts of 16 Farishtas, by awarding them a cash incentive of Rs 2000 per victim on August 15, 2024, and a commendation certificates, with their awards aptly named the "Farishey Award". The remaining Farishtas have also been recognised, receiving their awards from the Deputy Commissioners in their respective districts, she added.
Under the Farishtey Scheme, 494 hospitals, including 90 tertiary care hospitals, have been specifically empaneled to cover a 30 km stretch along national and state highways/roads, ensuring treatment during the critical golden hour.
Ms Babita said that these hospitals are integrated with the Mapple application (a mobile app), a mobile app that helps the people to search and navigate to the nearby empaneled hospital.
The scheme is also linked to emergency helplines, including 108, 1033, and 112 Sadak Surakhiya Force (SSF), which use IT systems to locate the nearest hospital for quick transportation, with hospitals within a 30 km radius providing immediate care within the golden hour, she said, while adding that the 108-ambulance staff have been trained to manage and transport accident victims to the nearest hospitals.
The CEO said that if an empaneled hospital demands payment, beneficiaries can file a complaint with the SHA Punjab or register their grievance at 104 Medical helplines.

The opposition on Wednesday seized on Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on B R Ambedkar to corner the government and demanded his resignation.

Dressed in blue, a colour associated with B R Ambedkar, INDIA bloc MPs, including the Congress' Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, staged a protest in the Parliament premises Thursday demanding Amit Shah's resignation for his remarks related to the chief architect of the Constitution.
BJP-led NDA parliamentarians also carried out a march within Parliament premises, raising slogans and carrying placards demanding an apology from the opposition Congress for allegedly insulting Ambedkar.
The protesting INDIA bloc parliamentarian came face to face with the ruling coalition MPs in front of the Makar Dar of Parliament as the two sides engaged in loud sloganeering in a bid to outdo each other.
The INDIA bloc members first staged a protest at B R Ambedkar's statue in Parliament premises, carrying posters that read 'Main Bhi Ambedkar', 'Jai Bhim' and 'Amit Shah maafi maango'.
They then took out a protest march on the Parliament premises. MPs of the Congress, DMK, RJD, SP, the Left and NCP(SP), among others, participated in the protest. Several opposition MPs, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and K Kanimozhi, were seen wearing blue.
Earlier, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha chaired a meeting of the Congress' Lok Sabha MPs in the main committee room.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Derek O'Brien has also submitted a notice to move a privilege motion against Shah in the Rajya Sabha where the home minister had said on Tuesday evening that Congress leaders would have got a place in heaven had they chanted the name of God rather than following the fashion of repeating Ambedkar's name.
The hullabaloo in Parliament also spilled onto the streets of the national capital and places as far as Maharashtra, Bihar and Tamil Nadu. In Delhi, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal led hundreds of supporters to gather outside the BJP office and protest noisily amid slogans "Amit Shah maafi mango, Amit Shah sharm karo".
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, DMK chief M K Stalin, Shiv Sena-UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav were among those who have slammed Shah for his remarks.&nbsp;

Two BJP MPs suffered head injuries in a face-off between the opposition and NDA members in Parliament premises on Thursday and were admitted to the ICU of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here.
Pratap Sarangi (69) from Odisha and Mukesh Rajput from Uttar Pradesh were brought to the hospital from Parliament with head injuries, the hospital's Medical Superintendent Dr Ajay Shukla said.
"Sarangi was bleeding profusely. He had a deep cut on his forehead and it had to be stitched. His blood pressure and anxiety level were high when he was brought in," the doctor said.
"Rajput also had a head injury immediately after which he lost consciousness. However, the MP was in his senses when he was brought to the hospital. His blood pressure levels had also shot up," Dr Shukla said.
The medical superintendent of the RML Hospital said both the MPs have been administered medicines to manage their blood pressure, pain and anxiety while investigations like CT scan of the head and cardiac tests were underway.
"Both of them are in ICU. We are trying to stabilise them," the doctor said.
A face-off between the opposition and NDA MPs in Parliament premises over the alleged insult to B R Ambedkar left former minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi injured. The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of pushing the senior member, a charge rejected by the Congress leader.
Trouble began when the INDIA bloc members insisted on entering Parliament through the BJP MPs holding a protest instead of using the space left empty on one side of the staircase of the Makar Dwar, used by members to enter and exit the building.
Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said BJP MP Mukesh Rajput was also injured in the melee. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up Sarangi and Rajput and enquired about their health after they sustained injuries in the Parliament complex, sources said.
The 69-year-old Sarangi, a BJP member from Balasore in Odisha, suffered injuries on the left temple of his forehead. BJP member Nishikant Dubey accused Gandhi of pushing the senior leader.
"Are you not ashamed Rahul, you are resorting to rowdy behaviour ('gundagardi'). You pushed an old man," a furious Dubey charged Gandhi.
"He pushed me," Gandhi countered Dubey, walking off after having a cursory look at Sarangi, who was being attended to by fellow BJP members.
"Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP, who fell on me and I got injured," he told reporters as BJP members squatted at the Makar Dwar raising slogans against the Congress.
"I was trying to enter Parliament and the BJP MPs were stopping me, pushing me and threatening me," Gandhi told reporters in Parliament premises.
Later, Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Pralhad Joshi met Sarangi and the hospital to inquire about his well-being. Chouhan told TV reporters that Sarangi received a few stitches to stop the bleeding.
"Appropriate action will be taken after examining the injuries suffered by Sarangi," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said. "Parliament is not a place to show physical strength. It is not a wrestling ring," he added.
Congress MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and submitted a complaint against the alleged unruly conduct of BJP MPs against Rahul Gandhi and stopping him form entering Parliament House.
In a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge claimed he was pushed by BJP MPs, lost his balance and was forced to sit on the ground, injuring his knees that have already undergone surgery.
He sought an inquiry into the incident, claiming it was not just an attack on him personally, but on the leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president.

Accusing the BJP of lowering the dignity of Parliament, the Congress on Thursday claimed that BJP MPs pushed its chief Mallikarjun Kharge and "physically manhandled" the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
In a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, senior Congress MPs asked him to initiate an inquiry into the incident. Separate marches by the opposition and ruling party MPs over the alleged insult to B R Ambedkar led to jostling in Parliament premises in the morning, leaving BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput injured.
The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of pushing the senior member, a charge rejected by the Congress leader.
Several Congress leaders, including Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Gaurav Gogoi and K C Venugopal, spoke on the matter.
The Congress said BJP MPs had sticks in their hands and Kharge was threatened and pushed.

Asked if Kharge and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi had also been pushed, Rahul Gandhi said, "It has happened but we don't get bothered with this pushing around."
"This is the entry to Parliament, we have a right to go inside and the BJP members were stopping us from going inside," he alleged and pointed to the Makar Dwar.
In their letter to Birla, some senior Congress MPs said they were writing to express their "deep anguish" over the incident that happened when members of the INDIA alliance were peacefully protesting and marching from the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue to Makar Dwar.
"However, as we attempted to enter the Parliament through Makar Dwar, the protesting MPs were physically obstructed from entering," said the letter signed by Congress MPs K C Venugopal, Kodikunnil Suresh, Ravindra Chavan Dean Kuriakose and V K Sreekandan.
"We would also like to bring to your notice that Shri Rahul Gandhi Leader of Opposition was physically manhandled by three MPs from the ruling party. This is a clear violation of the privileges extended to the Leader of Opposition and infringes on the rights accorded to him in his official capacity as an MP," they said.
Their conduct was not only a blatant assault on the personal dignity of Rahul Gandhi but antithetical to the democratic spirit of our parliament, the letter said.
The MPs expressed the hope that the speaker would treat this matter with utmost seriousness and take appropriate action.
In a post in Hindi on X, Kharge added, "After insulting Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar ji, Narendra Modiji also gets the dignity of the Parliament insulted. BJP MPs were armed with placards with thick sticks and were made to push and shove to stop the peaceful protest of INDIA alliance MPs so that their animosity towards Babasaheb, Parliament, Constitution and democracy is not exposed."
"But we will stand firm, we will not tolerate any derogatory comments on Babasaheb. Everyone in the country will strongly oppose BJP/RSS," he said.
According to Congress general secretary Venugopal, the "farcical drama" in Parliament House was a grand display of the "BJP&rsquo;s &lsquo;Save Ambedkar-Virodhi Amit Shah&rsquo; mission".
For the past 15 days, the Opposition has been peacefully protesting in Parliament House on various issues and no incidents of mishandling or disruptions have been reported, he said.
"The speaker explicitly instructed that the passage to the House must not be blocked. Security guards were entrusted with managing the entrance. We have always complied, never obstructed the way, and cooperated peacefully with security personnel.
Today, after our peaceful dharna at Prerna Sthal and a walk around Samvidhan Sadan carrying posters, we were shocked to witness BJP MPs blocking entrances with sticks attached to posters," he said.
Strangely, no security guards were present despite this being a violation of the Speaker&rsquo;s directives, Venugopal said.
"In a disgraceful turn of events, the stick-wielding BJP MPs pushed the Hon&rsquo;ble Congress president, a senior and respected leader, while the LoP in Lok Sabha was also prevented and pushed from entering the House," he alleged.
"These unruly BJP MPs were the ones responsible for vitiating the atmosphere and lowering the dignity of Parliament. No theatrics or trickery will save them from accountability for the disrespectful comments made by Amit Shah against Babasaheb Ambedkar."
He said the party would take the issue to the streets across the country until the Home minister stepped down for his remarks on Ambedkar.
Congress' deputy leader in the Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi said, "Today I saw the BJP MPs being hostile and threatening towards Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and LoP Rahul Gandhi. The BJP MPs had sticks in their hands. I saw with my own eyes how Mallikarjun Kharge was being threatened and pushed."

The Mumbai police on Thursday said the ferry &lsquo;Neel Kamal&rsquo; that capsized after being hit by a Navy craft off the Gateway of India had a capacity of 90 passengers but had over 100 persons on board.
Thirteen persons, including Navy personnel and two contractual naval employees, were killed in the accident on Wednesday afternoon and 98 were rescued.
According to the documents issued by the Maharashtra Maritime Board concerning the boat, it had permission to carry 84 passengers and 6 crew members but the ferry was carrying over a hundred persons, a police official said.
Police have gathered all the documents related to the boat, he said.
A case has been registered against the Navy craft driver at the Colaba police station, the official said.
The BNS sections invoked in the FIR included those related to causing death by negligence, actions that endanger the personal safety or life of others, rash or negligent navigation of a vessel and acts of mischief that cause wrongful loss or damage to individuals or the public.
There were two German nationals and one Canadian on board &lsquo;Neel Kamal&rsquo; at the time of the mid-sea collision and they were safely rescued, he said.
Cops have so far recorded the statements of nine persons who were rescued by the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Mumbai police and CISF teams and identification of all the 13 bodies has been done, he said.
The accident-affected Naval craft is in the custody of the Indian Navy and police will demand it whenever needed for the investigation, he said.
Meanwhile, the mangled passenger ferry has been taken to &lsquo;Bhaucha Dhakka&rsquo; (a wharf near Dockyard Road) in south Mumbai, another official said.
Of the 113 persons on board both vessels, 13 died and 98, including two injured, were rescued. There were six persons on board the Navy craft, of which two survived, officials have said. Efforts are underway to trace two missing passengers, they have said.

A car rammed into a truck, leaving six members of a family dead and four others critically injured in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district, police said on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh S said, "The accident occurred near the Barkheda Jaipal crossroads on the Bareilly-Etawah highway when a family travelling to Delhi in an Ertiga car collided with an oncoming truck late Wednesday night."
The deceased were identified as Riyazul Ali (45), Amna (42), Gudiya (9), Tamanna 'Anu' (32), and Noor (6). Gulfisha (25) later succumbed to injuries at a government hospital.
Riyazul, a resident of Kant town in Shahjahanpur, was engaged in the garment business in Delhi, the police said.
"The family had left for Delhi at around 10 PM on Wednesday night after attending a wedding. Their vehicle met with the fatal collision shortly thereafter," the SP said.
Chief Medical Superintendent of the Government Medical College Dr Nepal Singh said five seriously injured people were brought here, of whom Gulfisha (25) died during treatment.
In addition to this, a seriously injured patient was referred to Bareilly. The condition of two of the three patients admitted here remains serious.
Police said they had taken the truck driver into custody and seized the vehicle.
Shamsher Ali, the uncle of Riyazul, said at the hospital, "The family had come to Shahjahanpur two days ago for a wedding and were returning to Delhi when this tragedy occurred."
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
In a statement, he directed district officials to ensure the injured receive proper treatment and prayed for their speedy recovery.
