Amidst huge crowd, PM Modi, Amit Shah cast vote in Gandhinagar constituency

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah cast their vote on Tuesday in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in the third phase of the Lok Sabha election.

A huge crowd gathered at the designated polling booth at Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad city to witness the two most popular leaders.

After casting his vote, Modi, who was accompanied by Shah, met the people. Modi later spoke to the reporters, urging the people to come out in huge numbers to vote.

"Today, the third phase of polling has begun. In a democracy, voting is not a regular exercise. It holds immense significance. I urge voters to come out in huge numbers," he said.

"This is only the third phase, four more phases are remaining. I come here often to vote, and Amit Shah is contesting from this seat. I came from Andhra last night, and now I am in Gujarat. I will head to Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and then to Telangana. I express my gratitude to voters who are coming out to vote."

"The Indian electoral system and its management are a learning example for world governments. Universities should do a case study. In 64 countries, polling is taking place. There should be a comparison. India has achieved immensely in conducting elections. And I must thank the election commission for this."
