Was Lashkar commander apprehended by brave Resai villagers a BJP member?

Was Lashkar commander apprehended by brave Resai villagers a BJP member?

A self-styled Lashkar-e-Toiba commander, who along with his accomplice, was overpowered by brave villagers from a village in Resai district before being handed to police, was allegedly a member of the BJP, local reports and Opposition leaders from Jammu and Kashmir said on Sunday.

Two heavily-armed Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, Talib Hussain and Faisal Ahmad Dar, were apprehended in Tukson Dhok village. The police said the two 'most wanted terrorists' had reached the area to take shelter after continuous pressure from the security forces in neighbouring Rajouri district.

Police said Talib was the mastermind of the recent IED blasts in Rajouri.

Many social media users claimed Talib is associated with the Bhartiya Janta Party and posted several photos of him attending saffron party's event.

Bilal Rashid, a local activist of the Congress also posted a letter on twitter which showed that Talib, the LeT terrorist, was the head of IT for BJP's minority cell in Jammu.

Editorji couldn't independently verify these claims.

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Director General of Police Dilbag Singh had lauded the villagers for their courage and announced cash rewards for them.

Reacting to the reports, BJP leader Ravindra Raina told a TV news channel that it is difficult for them to verify every person who seeks BJP membership. He said that the police has no warned them of what he called 'infilitration' attempts to come close to saffron leaders.
