ISRO explains how India's Pragyan rover's rolled down on Lunar surface

As India's rover Pragyan takes a step on the lunar surface after coming out of the belly of Vikram lander, ISRO in a fresh video explained the mechanism that helped the rover roll down smoothly.

Sharing the video on X (formerly known as Twitter), ISRO said, "a two-segment ramp facilitated the roll-down of the rover. A solar panel enabled the rover to generate power. Here is how the rapid deployment of the ramp and solar panel took place, prior to the rolldown of the rover. The deployment mechanisms, totalling 26 in the Ch-3 mission, were developed at U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC)/ISRO, Bengaluru."

In a historic mission, India's Chandrayaan-3 landed near the south pole of Moon and became the first country to make a soft landing at this site.
