The announcements were made after a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to formulate the country's response to India's move to suspend the Indus Water Treaty and downgrade diplomatic ties after the Pahalgam terror attack.
The meeting was attended by key ministers and the three services chiefs.
"Any threat to Pakistan&rsquo;s sovereignty and to the security of its people will be met with firm reciprocal measures in all domains. India should refrain from its reflexive blame game and cynical staged, managed exploitation of incidents like Pahalgam to further its narrow political agenda.
"Such tactics serve only to inflame tensions and obstruct the path to peace and stability in the region," according to a statement released after the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting.
The meeting decided to block Pakistani airspace for Indian airlines and close the Wagah border crossing.
A decision was also taken to suspend visas under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme to Indians, barring Sikh pilgrims.
Pakistan suspended "all trade" with India, including those routes through third countries.
Pakistan rejected the Indian decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty, saying it is the lifeline for 240 million Pakistanis.
"Any attempt to divert or stop water meant for Pakistan under the Indus Water Treaty will be considered an act of War," the statement said.
Pakistan also asked military advisers at the Indian High Commission to leave by April 30, it said.

The Uttarakhand government is fully committed and proactive regarding the Char Dham Yatra 2025 that commences on April 30. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the safety, health, and convenience of pilgrims are being prioritized at the highest level.&nbsp;
In this regard, the Health Department has initiated extensive preparatory measures at the grassroots level. The dedicated efforts of the government and the department will play a pivotal role in ensuring that this year's Char Dham Yatra is not only secure but also seamless and well-organized.&nbsp;
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr. Dhansingh Rawat, Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar is actively working to enhance healthcare services along the Char Dham Yatra route.&nbsp;
Extensive arrangements are being made at the ground level, while a modern, well-organized, and accessible healthcare infrastructure is being established along the entire route in collaboration with experts.&nbsp;
The government's primary goal is to ensure that every pilgrim completes their spiritual journey in a secure and healthy way, with reliable and easily accessible health services at each stage.
In addition to ensuring that all permanent and temporary medical units are fully stocked with essential medicines, equipment, and trained personnel, a detailed health advisory will be available in 13 languages via QR codes at hotels, restaurants, and parking areas. Health awareness will also be raised through strategically placed hoardings in areas prone to congestion and at major stops.
At Kedarnath, a 17-bed facility is nearing completion with two floors to be operational before the Yatra begins. Besides the regular services, it will also have specialist orthopaedic services.
At Phata, near Kedarnath, 12 medical units have been set up along the way. Located 32 kilometres from Kedarnath, it has an open area for landing choppers during the Yatra. There will be screening teams at 12 designated areas around the helipads and parking areas.
At Chamoli, which is en route to Badrinath, 20 medical units will become operational in addition to four major screening points at Gochhar Barrier, Pandukeshwar Bazaar, Trauma Center Karnapraya, and Panduwakhal (Gairsain). Duty schedules for medical staff have already been confirmed.
For the Gangotri-Yamunotri route, all medical units are in place and staff deployment will start on April 28. Ambulances will be positioned all along the route. Check-ups will be mandatory for pilgrims over 50 years.
As regards deployment of medical personnel, specialist doctors from other districts will be deployed on 15-day rotations. There will be a Central government appointee for Badrinath/Joshimath. Support infrastructure includes 121 staff nurses, 26 pharmacists, 309 oxygen beds, six ICU beds, 13 departmental ambulances, 17 1 ambulances, one blood bank and two blood storage units.
In addition to three existing medical relief posts (MRPs), five new ones are being set up in Gochhar, Nangsu, Mandal, Katora and Hanumanchatti.
In addition, food safety measures have also been put in place. There will be regular quality checks of food items along the Yatra route. A mobile food safety van will be deployed for continuous inspection and on-spot testing.

CM Dhami also mentioned that administrative officials had been in contact with Uttarakhand tourists who had traveled to Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that the stranded individuals would return safely on the same day. As part of his visit, CM Dhami inaugurated the newly constructed Automated Test Track in Kashipur on Wednesday.
During a solemn tribute to the victims, the people of Pauri, along with CM Dhami, observed two minutes of silence to honor the lives lost in the Pahalgam attack.&nbsp;
Earlier, while speaking to ANI, CM Dhami had expressed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, calling the attack not only a massacre of innocent tourists but also an assault on the very soul of the nation. "Their aim is to disrupt the peace in Jammu and Kashmir, but they will never succeed," he added.
The Chief Minister condemned the targeted killings of Hindu tourists, calling the act a reflection of a "jihadist mindset." He stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the Indian Army would deliver a strong and targeted response. "This is a tragic day. The way Hindu tourists were deliberately targeted in Pahalgam exposes the radical motives behind the attack. I pay my respects to the victims and pray for their souls. I am confident that every single one of the terrorists responsible will be brought to justice," he emphasized.
In addition, CM Dhami confirmed that all state officials were instructed to maintain constant contact with the affected families and ensure the safe return and support of all Uttarakhand residents currently in the region. Following the attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the security situation at the Pahalgam site, conducting an aerial inspection after arriving by helicopter. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) also visited the site to assist the Jammu and Kashmir Police with the investigation into one of the most significant terror attacks in the region since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

He emphasized that the office building, built at a cost of around Rs 4.5 crore, would speed up Transport Department services while providing transparent and technically advanced services to the public.&nbsp;
He also praised the development of the Automated Driving Test Track, which was constructed at an investment of over Rs 7 crore across Kashipur, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. This facility, Dhami noted, would bring transparency to the driving license process and contribute to improved road safety.
In addition to the inaugurations, the Chief Minister flagged off water coolers and free ambulances for the wards of Kashipur through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing drive against corruption under the zero tolerance policy adopted by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab government, on Wednesday, has arrested Harpreet Singh, Revenue Patwari, posted at revenue halqua Sultanwind, Amritsar red handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 50000.
An official spokesperson of the state VB informed that the arrest has been made following a complaint lodged by a complainant of Sultanwind, in Amritsar.
He further added that the complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the aforementioned Patwari had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,50,000 for making correction in the revenue record pertaining to his plot.
As per the complaint the Patwari asked the complainant that the bribe money would be shared with Tehsildar and Girdawar and he would take Rs 50000 out of this amount.
The spokesperson further added that after a preliminary verification of this complaint a VB team from Amritsar range laid a trap during which the said accused was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 50000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
In this regard a case has been registered against the accused under Prevention of Corruption Act at the VB police station at Amritsar range. The accused would be produced in the competent court tomorrow and further investigations are underway, he said.

UK-GAMS, an innovative initiative launched by the Uttarakhand government, has been honored with the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024 under the "Innovation - State category." The project was conceived and developed under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami, according to the statement.
The initiative addresses the challenges of land encroachment, lack of transparency, and accountability through advanced technology. UK-GAMS is an AI-based geospatial monitoring system that digitizes and geo-fences government assets, monitoring them effectively using high-quality satellite data and an in-house AI model.&nbsp;
Previously, unorganized records, paper maps, and communication gaps between departments made it difficult to detect land misuse or encroachment in time. UK-GAMS has transformed this situation by integrating various departments into a dynamic digital platform.
So far, over 66,000 government assets across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand have been digitized and added to the UK-GAMS platform. Additionally, 188 land use changes have been identified, prompting the relevant departments to take appropriate action. This has enhanced transparency, halted unauthorized constructions, and accelerated administrative action across departments.
The award is also a testament to the dedication of the Uttarakhand Space Applications Centre (USAC) team of scientists, whose contributions have been key in implementing this project. Under the leadership of Nitika Khandelwal, Director of USAC, the project was successfully conceptualized, developed, and executed. Khandelwal was also presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) for her exemplary work.
The successful implementation of UK-GAMS also involved training more than 6,600 field officers and 1,000 departmental supervisors from over 60 state departments and 47 autonomous bodies. This ground-level implementation model has been integral to the system's success.
This national recognition not only brings pride to Uttarakhand but also serves as a model for other states and sectors to follow, reinforcing the role of AI and satellite technology in securing public assets, enhancing transparency, and fostering active governance. UK-GAMS has the potential to be a benchmark for digital governance across India.

The broadcast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) could be in jeopardy in coming days with all the experienced Indian crew members in PCB roster set to be replaced after escalating cross-border tensions in the aftermath of Pahelgam terrorist attack.
Pakistani terrorists are believed to be behind the killing of 26 Indian nationals, who were visiting Kashmir's Pahelgam area.
A concerned PCB source said: "Since more than two dozen of the production and broadcast crew of the PSL, included Indian nationals. Steps are being taken to replace them. The broadcast and production crew includes engineers, production managers, cameramen, player-tracking experts (all Indian nationals), who ensure a smooth coverage of the PSL." The National Security Council after a meeting in Islamabad, on Thursday, announced that all Indian nationals in Pakistan should leave the country in the next 48 hours.
The source said that PCB and the conglomerate which had rights to the PSL had discussed the option of replacing the Indian nationals in the crew as soon as possible.
The source said the Indian nationals in the crew have also been told to restrict their movements until they can leave Pakistan.

India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan by suspending the Indus Water Treaty, Dhami said.
"By putting on hold the Indus Water Treaty, the Centre has made it clear that blood and water cannot flow together. This decisive decision will shatter the plans of Pakistan, which shelters and promotes terrorism. Similarly, other decisions including the closure of Attari border check post have also sent a strong message to Pakistan," he said.
The chief minister further said these "bold steps" are not only an assertion of India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism but have also sent a clear message to the enemies that India is ready to give a befitting reply to every terrorist attack.
