      Terrorism in Kashmir appears to be getting a technological boost amid a severe crackdown by Indian security forces.

      Days after the Indian Army chief revealed that military equipment from Afghanistan was being found in Kashmir, the top Army officer in the Valley commented on the challenge.

      Recently, General MM Naravane, when he was serving as Army chief, had said that night-vision equipment was among weapons and tech being recovered from terrorists in the Union Territory. Equipment from Afghanistan points to the possible hand of Taliban.

      Lt Gen DP Pandey, commander of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of Indian Army spoke on the issue on the sidelines of an event in Srinagar on May 2. He said that such tech was being found, but it was not in large numbers. The Army has also changed its strategies to counter such threats, and it's not a big challenge, he said.
