Opposing Shiv Sena’s move to disqualify 12 of its lawmakers, rebel leader Eknath Shinde had told India Today that these were pressure tactic from Uddhav Thackeray group to scare them.

Shinde, who is camping in Assam with other MLAs, said that the disqualification rules were in their favour and they would meet Governor Bhagat Singh Koshari soon.

He said that his group of over 37 MLAs will decide on a party symbol soon as he asserted that BJP had no role to play in the rebellion led by him.

Shinde needs the support of 37 of the 55 Sena MLAs to form a breakaway group and avoid the anti-defection law.
