In Mumbai's Ghatkopar, a landslide triggered by heavy downpour badly damaged a house on Tuesday. Fire tenders were rushed to the site, officials stated.

In Thane, some heavy boulders fell from a hillock but no one was injured. Thane city received 146 mm rainfall in a span of 24 hours ending on 8:30 AM on Tuesday, according to regional data. Low-lying areas in Thane's Kalyan and Bhiwandi also reported flooding leading to evacuation of several people to safer places.

On Monday, a 16-feet wall in Mumbra town of Thane collapsed following continous heavy rains. Residents of the adjoining chawl were temporarily shifted to a Thane civic school, as per reports.

District adminstration of Palghar reported a mud house collapse in Wada taluka on Monday following heavy rains. Occupants of the house were removed once cracks were observed in the house and within minutes, the house came crashing down.

The house was constructed last year under a government scheme for the poor, according to the district officials.
