PM skips all party meet, Oppn demands MSP law, compensation for farmers

With his govt set to table a bill to withdraw the three controversial farms laws on the first day of the winter session of Parliament on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi skipped the all-party meeting on Sunday.

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said that they were expecting the PM to address them and they also wanted to put forward their apprehensions that the govt may bring in the farm laws again at a later date.

Opposition parties also demanded that the govt bring in a law guaranteeing MSP and also sought compensation for farmers who died during the agitation.

They also asked for an early passage of the women's reservation bill and discussion on Pegasus snooping row and hike in fuel prices.
