Union minister Kiren Rijiju has slammed Rahul Gandhi over his 'attack on Indian democracy' remark during a lecture at Cambridge University saying that calibrated attempts are being made to defame the country.

Sharing a clip of his address at the conference in Bhubaneswar, Rijiju tweeted that 'no body can question Indian democracy because democracy runs in our blood'.

His comments came after Congress leader at a lecture at Cambridge University alleged that several politicians, including himself, are under surveillance.
