Punjab CM's 'suit-boot' remark aimed at Kejriwal met with sharp retort

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal hit back at Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi after the latter made a ‘suit-boot’ remark targeting the Delhi Chief Minister

Channi was asked by news channel ABP about Kejriwal's comment that the Congress had made a "tamasha (mockery)" of Punjab. Channi responded by asking if the Delhi CM does not have a "suit-boot", making a reference to one of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's go-to jibes at PM Modi and his ruling BJP.

Channi said his Delhi counterpart, Arvind Kejriwal, should be given ₹ 5,000 to get a "suit-boot".

Reacting to Channi’s comment, Kejriwal said Channi should focus on Congress's track record in the state ahead of 2022 polls and not his clothes.

Further, Kejriwal quizzed Channi about the rate of unemployment, farmloan waivers and action against tainted ministers.
