Punjab Elections 2022: Amarinder Singh says he will join hands with BJP

Former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh, who floated his own political party Punjab Lok Congress after quitting Congress, announced on Monday that his party will contest the upcoming Punjab elections in alliance with BJP.

While inaugurating his party office in Chandigarh, Singh said that the official announcement about the alliance will be made later but BJP, his party and Sukhdev Dhindsa's party will have a seat sharing arrangement for the state polls

On being asked about the chief ministerial candidate, Singh said that it will be a joint decision of all alliance partners.

Amarinder Singh quit the Congress in November, weeks after the party replaced him as Chief Minister and favoured his bitter rival Navjot Singh Sidhu.
