Five members of a family, including three children aged eight, four and one whose bodies were stuffed in sacks and kept in a bed box, were found killed in their home, police said on Friday. Two persons were arrested for the sensational murders that shocked this Uttar Pradesh town.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Several suspects have also been taken into custody for the killing that came to light on Thursday night. The bodies of the parents were wrapped in bedsheets. And all five had deep head injuries and slash marks on their necks. &nbsp; &nbsp; Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada said, "Based on a complaint filed by the relatives of the deceased woman, a case has been registered against three named accused and some unidentified persons. Two named suspects and several others have been taken into custody for questioning." &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Police said the bodies of the husband and wife were found wrapped in bedsheets, while those of their three children were stuffed in the storage compartment of a bed at the family's home in the densely populated Suhail Garden neighbourhood in the Lisari Gate police station area. &nbsp; &nbsp; Tada added that one named suspect is absconding, and police teams have been deployed to arrest him. "All pieces of evidence are being gathered, and the case will be solved soon," he said. &nbsp; &nbsp; The deceased were identified as Moin alias Moinuddin (52), his wife Asma (45), and their daughters Afsah (8), Aziza (4), and Adeeba (1).&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The bodies of the children were found stuffed in sacks and hidden in the bed's storage, the police said, adding all the victims had deep head injuries and slash marks on their necks. &nbsp; &nbsp; According to the Lisari Gate police, Asma's brother, Shamim, lodged a formal complaint late at night. He accused Asma's younger sister-in-law, Nazrana, and her two brothers of involvement in the suspected murders. &nbsp; &nbsp; The SSP, who visited the crime scene Thursday night along with other senior officers, said the family's house was locked from outside when locals and neighbours checked it in the evening. &nbsp; &nbsp; "After gaining access through the roof, they found the bodies," Tada told reporters. "The manner in which the house was locked suggests that the individual involved in the crime may have been someone known to the family."&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The SSP said the preliminary investigations point towards an old enmity as the possible motive behind the incident. The matter has been posted for hearing on January 15," he told PTI-Bhasha. &nbsp; &nbsp; "We have highlighted large-scale irregularities in the exams held across the state, citing instances of people carrying mobile phones inside examination halls where there were no jammers. At many places, several examinees solved their question papers huddled together," he alleged. &nbsp; &nbsp; Kumar claimed that "such irregularities" were reported from many examination centres and not just Bapu Pariksha Parisar where many candidates had boycotted the tests, alleging that the question paper had been leaked.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; "Hence, we have prayed for cancellation of the entire examination besides action against officials who may be responsible for the irregularities," the lawyer said. &nbsp; &nbsp; Notably, about five lakh candidates had appeared at more than 900 centres across the state for the exams. &nbsp; &nbsp; Re-examination was held for 1,200 candidates assigned to Bapu Pariksha Parisar centre &nbsp; &nbsp; The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been denying the allegations with the claim that there was a "conspiracy" to get the exams cancelled. &nbsp; &nbsp; The commission's decision to order a re-exam for a select group of candidates has been resented by others who have launched a stir, alleging that they have been deprived of a "level-playing field". &nbsp; &nbsp; Kishor, who has thrown his weight behind the agitation, began a fast unto death on January 2 and refused to give up, despite the advice of doctors to resume normal diet. &nbsp; &nbsp; His party has said he could consider discontinuing the fast if Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar agreed to break the deadlock by having a word with a delegation of civil service aspirants.

The bench pointed out Jaya Thakur's petition challenged the bill, which had become the Act, whereas the NFIW challenged the delimitation clause of the law.
While Thakur's plea was dismissed as infructuous, the court was not inclined to examine NFIW's plea under Article 32 saying it could move the high court or any other appropriate forum.
The NFIW challenged the constitutional validity of Article 334A (1) or Clause 5 of the 2023 Act where it rendered delimitation of constituencies a prerequisite to the implementation of the Act.
On November 3, 2023, the top court while hearing Thakur&rsquo;s plea said it would be "very difficult" for the court to strike down a part of the women's reservation law which would come into effect after the census.

Data showed women MPs account for nearly 15 per cent of the Lok Sabha strength whereas their representation was below 10 per cent in many state assemblies.

"The student got the idea from previous incidents and hatched a plan to change his IP address by using Virtual Private Network (VPN) and send threat e-mails to different schools. Further investigation is underway," said a source.

The court noted that the CBI failed to produce the case diary, a critical document for transparency and procedural legitimacy. This, the judge said, undermines the prosecution's case. The court also pointed out the failure of the investigation officer to serve an arrest warrant, making the arrest &ldquo;procedurally unsound.&rdquo;
The judge found that the CBI&rsquo;s actions were marked by several fundamental lapses, including procedural violations and inconsistencies, which led to the ruling that Deep&rsquo;s detention was illegal. Deep was granted release on a personal recognizance bond of Rs 50,000.
The CBI had alleged that Deep received a bribe of Rs 60 lakh near Panchkula in Haryana on December 22, 2024, and then evaded authorities by changing his location and phone. He was eventually traced and arrested in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The Delhi BJP staged a protest on Friday, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of making false claims about voter registration from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
Protesters gathered outside Arvind Kejriwal's residence, raising slogans against the Delhi CM. Some attempted to breach security barricades, prompting the police to use water cannons to disperse the crowd.
The protest followed Kejriwal's allegations on Thursday, where he accused the BJP of manipulating the electoral rolls by registering "fake" voters in his New Delhi constituency. In a complaint to the Election Commission, Kejriwal raised concerns over the addition of 13,000 new voters between December 15 and January 8, claiming many were brought in from neighboring states to create fraudulent voter registrations.
Kejriwal stated that this action was a deliberate attempt to undermine the election process. His comments were met with strong condemnation from BJP leaders.
The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with vote counting set for February 8.

The Delhi BJP held a protest on Friday against the AAP for allegedly making "fake" claims about registration of voters from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the electoral rolls ahead of assembly polls.
Hundreds of protesters holding placards like "Purvanchal Virodhi Kejriwal" raised slogans against AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, with some attempting to breach the security barricades near his residence.
Slogans such as "Litti chokha khayenge, Kejriwal bhagayenge", "Chhathi Maiya ki jai", and "Purvanchal Virodhi Kejriwal murdabad" echoed during the protest.
A protester, speaking to PTI, said, "Purvanchalis have been called fake voters. This anger will not subside until we remove Kejriwal from here."
Another protester added, "He has humiliated us. During Anna Hazare's movement, he used us and made us endure police lathis. And now, he is calling us fake voters."
During the protest, the demonstrators attempted to breach security barricades and move closer to Kejriwal's residence.
However, the police used water cannons to disperse the crowd and prevented them from advancing further.
According to police officials, more than 20 protesters were detained for protesting without valid permission.
"They were bundled into police buses and taken to different police stations," a senior police officer said.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said, "Arvind Kejriwal has always insulted the Purvanchali community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he made several objectionable statements, and now he has referred to them as 'fake voters'. We will not forget this insult, and neither will the people of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar. This betrayal will remain etched in the memory of Delhiites as well."
Kejriwal on Thursday accused BJP of manipulating the electoral rolls by registering "fake" voters from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in his constituency, New Delhi, ahead of assembly polls.
In a formal complaint to the Election Commission, Kejriwal raised concerns over applications for the addition of 13,000 new voters between December 15 and January 8.
Addressing the media after lodging the complaint, Kejriwal said, "Apparently many of these voters have been brought in from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and other neighbouring states to create fake voter registrations. This manipulation undermines the election process."
Kejriwal's remarks sparked an immediate backlash from BJP with party leaders condemning his comments.
Elections for the 70-member Delhi assembly are scheduled on February 5. Votes will be counted on February 8.

The third injured person has been identified as Faheem, who was travelling in another vehicle along with Zeeshan, Shanu and Haryana Police constable Ramkumar, officials said.
A police team reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital. The damaged vehicles were removed from the road with the help of a crane and the highway was made operational, Station House Officer Vijay Kumar Gupta said.
