'Will you recite Hanuman Chalisa?': On Kashmiri Pandit's killing, Uddhav Thackeray slams BJP

Days after the murder of a Kashmiri Pandit government employee in Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra Chief Minister used the issue to attack his former ally BJP.

Uddhav Thackeray said that his party Shiv Sena's 'Hindutva' is 'gada-dhaari' (strong) amid a competition for the saffron mantle with the BJP.

Thackeray asked whether the BJP would recite Hanuman Chalisa in Kashmir now. It was a reference to the recent controversy over two Independent legislators wanting to recite Hanuman Chalisa outside Thackeray's residence.

The legislators Navneet and Ravi Rana were arrested, and received BJP's moral support.

The Maharashtra CM also cited rising inflation to say that a "fake Hindutva party" had taken the country to "hell".
