      The Amritsar-Delhi rail route, one of the busiest despite numerous transport options, will welcomes the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express starting December 30, according to a report by The Tribune.

      The train is likely to be flagged off by prime minister Narendra Modi.

      This addition joins the existing three direct train pairs including the New Delhi-Amritsar Superfast and two Shatabdis. The route is already served by several trains like the Chhattisgarh Express, Amritsar-Mumbai Frontier, Shan-e-Punjab, Garib Rath, Dadar Express, and the Delhi-Pathankot Express via Amritsar, enhancing connectivity between these major cities.

      According to media reports, the Vande Bharat train running between Katra and Delhi will operate regularly from January 1st. On its route, it will make stops at Udhampur, Manwal, Jammu Tawi, Kathua, Pathankot Cantt, Mukerian, Dasuya, Ludhiana, and Karnal. Meanwhile, the train from New Delhi to Amritsar will halt at Ambala, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar.
