Rajnath Singh launches invest Karnataka-2025 strengthening global ties

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched the Global Investors’ Meet, Invest Karnataka-2025, on Tuesday. The three-day event, designed to spur investment and growth, includes agreements, seminars, policy announcements, and startup challenges.

The inauguration was attended by prominent figures such as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil, Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Pralhad Joshi, and Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh. Business leaders like Mahindra Group's Anand Mahindra, JSW Group's Sajjan Jindal, Biocon's Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Kirloskar Systems' Geetanjali Kirloskar, and Hero Future Energies' Rahul Munjal were also present.

Slated to officially begin on February 12, the meet aims to underline Karnataka's strengths in innovation, industrial development, and global partnerships, aligning with the theme "Reimagining Growth." The state anticipates investment proposals totaling ₹10 lakh crore, with a goal to realize at least 70% of these commitments, as stated by Minister M B Patil.

The Global Investors Meet (GIM) will feature over 75 renowned speakers, more than 25 technical sessions, over 10 country sessions, and SME Connect discussions, providing insights into global economic trends and emerging technologies. Nineteen partner countries will participate in investment and trade talks, with nine dedicated pavilions highlighting opportunities for bilateral cooperation and investment.
