'The Kerala Story': Supreme Court agrees to hear plea against Bengal ban

The political fight over the movie 'The Kerala Story' seems to be turning into a legal battle.

The Supreme Court on May 10, 2023 agreed to hear a petition filed by the film-makers against the West Bengal government.

On May 8, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had announced a ban on 'The Kerala Story' as she said the film could spark hatred and violence.

The ban was challenged in the Supreme Court, and the case will be heard on May 12.
