NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik posted a photo of Sameer Wankhede's Nikah Nama of his first marriage, revealing Wankhede's alleged real name. He also tweeted a photo of Wankhede with his bride, calling them a 'sweet couple'.

He went on to add that this was not an issue about religion, but he wants to 'bring to light the fraudulent means by which Wankhede has obtained a caste certificate to get an IRS job and has deprived a deserving Scheduled Caste person of his future.'

Malik also said if the Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede's birth certificate, which the minister had posted online to claim the official forged documents to secure job, turns out to be false, then he will resign from his ministerial post and retire as a politician.

On Wednesday, Malik also alleged that member of an international drug mafia was present at the cruise party. 'There are some of videos of the party in which the person, sporting a beard, can been seen,' Malik claimed asking how come this man was moving scot-free, while some others were arrested, following a raid on the ship earlier this month.

The minister went on to say, “The Cordelia cruise drugs party organisers—Fashion TV— had not taken any permission from the Maharashtra Police or the state home department. They obtained the permission directly from the directorate of shipping, which comes under the Union Ministry for Ports, Shipping and Waterways.”

Malik had earlier levelled a number of allegations against Sameer Wankhede and also accused him of illegal phone tapping and forging his documents to secure job.

Wankhede, who visited the NCB office in Delhi on Tuesday, has denied the allegations.

Kranti Redkar Wankhede, wife of Sameer Wankhede told the press on Thursday, 'Nikahnama is correct. Nikah happened but Sameer legally didn't change his religion, caste. It was just a formality as my mother-in-law was Muslim&for her happiness, nikah happened. Birth certificate shared by Nawab Malik wrong.' She also added that an FIR has been filed in Oshiwara police station against Nawab Malik for invading their privacy and posting their personal photos online. They will be taking legal action against him soon, she concluded.
