Rishabh Kaushik, an Indian student stranded in Ukraine, is hiding in bomb shelters and bunkers in Kyiv, instead of travelling to the borders. This is because he doesn't want to leave his pet dog behind.

Rishabh, a student at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics in east Ukraine, adopted a rescue dog named Malibu, and is now struggling to get the requisite paperwork to fly with his pet to India.

In a video posted on Facebook, Rishabh accused the Indian embassy in Kyiv, the Animal Quarantine and Certification Service (AQCS) in Delhi, and officials at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi of being utterly unhelpful. "I tried to contact the Indian embassy in Kyiv. The only thing they could say was that they can't help. I also called a person at the IGI airport. I don't know his name. He only used abuses and told me all the ways that he can't help me," Rishabh said.
