'Will move forward again': Agriculture Minister on farm laws

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Friday hinted that the Modi govt could re-introduce the now withdrawn controverisal farm laws.

The minister said that some people did not like the three laws and because of that the govt had to take a step back and withdraw them but he added that they are not disappointed and will move forward once again.

PM Modi had announced the withdrawal of the farm laws last month after a year-long stir by the farmers against them.

The laws were then officially withdrawn in the Parliament.

The Prime Minister while announcing the repeal had said that his govt tried to convince the farmers about the benefits of these laws but they were unable to bring certain groups on board.
