Woman seeks divorce as husband takes her to Ayodhya for honeymoon, says was promised Goa

A woman in Madhya Pradesh filed for a divorce from her husband five months after getting married as her partner allegedly took her to Ayodhya for a honeymoon instead of a promise of honeymoon in Goa.

The Indian Express reported, that the woman in her divorce paper said that she was angry after her husband took her to Ayodhya and Varanasi instead of beach state Goa in October.

Advocate Shail Awasthi who is counseling the couple in a family court in Bhopal said that that in the divorce petition, the woman has said that her husband works in a IT sector and she also earns a good salary and going abroad for a honeymoon would not have been difficult for them. The man yet preferred to visit a place within the country.

The man alleged that he had to look after his parents and the couple settled to visit Goa or South India for honeymoon. However, he unanimously booked tickets to Ayodhya without taking her wife in a loop.

As per the report, the man changed his honeymoon plan to Ayodhya after his mother wished to visit the temple city before Ram Mandir consecration ceremony.

The woman alleged that her husband takes more care of his parents than her and filed for divorce after returning back from the trip.
