'Words of few can't bring down faith': Shiv Sena leader on Al-Qaeda threat

A day after terror group Al-Qaeda in the Subcontinent (AQIS) threatened attacks in several parts of India over comments by now suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma against Prophet Mohammed, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has urged West Asian countries to denounce the statement

Chaturvedi on Wednesday said the West Asian countries that protested the remarks on Prophet Mohammad should also unequivocally denounce the threats from Al-Qaeda made in the aftermath of the controversy.

Taking to Twitter, the Rajya Sabha member wrote that threats from Islamist terror groups such as Al Qaeda should be unequivocally denounced by Middle East nations as well. She added that respecting religious sentiments is one thing and issuing threats based on it is another. Chaturvedi went to say that no religion is so fragile that words of a few can bring it down.
