Actor Dia Mirza named as PETA India's 2023 'Person of the Year'

Actor Dia Mirza who is actively involved in animal welfare and climate change activities is tittled as 'person of the year 2023' by PETA ( People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) India.

In recognition of her commitment to ending the use of animals for circuses, her fervent campaign against the exploitation of wild animals for their skins, and her unwavering support for adopting homeless animals, among other efforts to protect living, feeling beings, PETA India proudly designates the illustrious Bollywood luminary Dia Mirza as its 2023 Person of the Year.

Sharing a post on X, PETA India, congratulated Dia "for speaking out against using reptile skins to giving a voice to Ellie, Asia’s first educational animatronic elephant teaching kids across India to be kind, Dia Mirza is inspiring change" wrote PETA India.
