Holi is a fun festival and everybody lets their hair down! But the chemical from the colours can damage your hair and skin. Even after shampooing and conditioning your hair, the colour doesn’t seem to go away! This can lead to dandruff, dryness and itching.

So, take care of your hair and skin this Holi, by following these simple tips given below.

      Use herbal colours

Instead of playing with colours that have harmful chemicals, opt for organic colours to protect your skin and hair.

      Apply oil

Apply some oil all over your body and your hair to ensure that the colour comes off easily after the celebrations.

Apply nail paint on your nails

By applying nail paint on your nails, you can protect your nails from damage. Use dark nail paint to ensure that the colour doesn’t stick on your nails.

Wear clothes that cover your arms and legs

Ditch the shorts and crop top and instead wear full sleeves t-shirts and pants to protect your body from the colours.

      Avoid over-scrubbing your skin

After the celebration part is over, do not over-scrub your skin to get rid of the colour. Sit under running water for a few minutes and then begin by washing your hair followed by scrubbing your body. Prepare a paste of lime juice, curd and sandalwood and apply it on your body as a scrub. You can also use olive or coconut oil to get rid of the colour.
