Coconut oil is a common item found in most Indian households, from the kitchen to the bathroom, and even on the vanity counter. Many people consider it a versatile home remedy for head massages, face masks, after-shave treatment or use it as a makeup remover.

And guess what? Even Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor Ahuja can't resist the charm of coconut oil. In a recent makeup video, the actor revealed that she applies it on her lips before putting on lipstick to make the application smoother. She also mentioned that she uses the oil on her eyebrows and eyelids sometimes.

However, according to skin experts, one should use coconut oil depending upon their skin types. As per dermatologists, coconut oil can clog your pores which may lead to an increase in blackheads, whiteheads and acne. This is why it’s a no-no for acne-prone and oily skin.
