    Smart phones are one of the amplest parts of our lives but what if we say that these devices might create havoc in your relationship?

    Smartphones hampering marriages

    A study called ‘Switch Off’ conducted with Cybermedia Research on ‘Smartphones and their impact on human relationships 2022' found that 67 per cent of people confessed using their smart phones while being with their partners, 89 per cent said they spend much less time conversing with their spouses and 88 per cent agreed that increased usage of smartphones is affecting their marriage.

    Study conducted in major Indian cities

    The study has been conducted based on a survey done on 1,000 smartphone users across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Pune, which concluded that on an average, each smartphone user has 1.5 hours of free time every day that they mostly spend on their phones instead of spending time with family.

    88 per cent users spend their leisure time on their smartphones and 89 per cent feel the urge to use them as soon as they get some free time.
