Baby Atlas sets record; visits 23 countries in just 11 months

In less than a year, an 11-month-old baby has become the world's most well-traveled infant, having visited 23 countries alongside his parents.

Baby Atlas sets record; visits 23 countries in just 11 months

At just 11 months of age, Atlas Montgomery has already experienced more of the world than many do in a lifetime. Accompanied by his parents, Becs Lewis (29) and Will Montgomery (31), Atlas has already visited 23 countries.

Hailing from the United Kingdom, the family embarked on their European journey in a camper van when Atlas was just six weeks old. Taking advantage of Lewis' maternity leave until early November, they've covered a substantial part of Europe.

Atlas' developmental milestones have been intricately tied to their travels. He began crawling while they were in Switzerland, got his first tooth in Norway, and started eating solid foods in France.

The family's travels have taken them through various countries including Italy, San Marino, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, and Norway, among others.

According to Lewis, Atlas has already been to 23 countries, with the count set to reach 25 by the end of their journey. Their travel experiences are being chronicled on their Instagram page, intended to be shared with Atlas when he's older.

To fund their travels, the couple made strategic financial decisions, selling off most of their possessions and terminating their rental home lease. They've also been prudent with their expenses, managing to spend just around $4 per day on food during their travels.
