Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 10 HIGHLIGHTS
The superb run of pugilists continues to increase India's medal haul at Commonwealth Games 2022. After Nitu Ghanghas and Amit Panghal, world Champion Nikhat Zareen too won Gold medal. This is India's third gold at the event. While Ahlawat settled for a Silver after losing Gold medal bout. Indian pair of Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran lost their Gold medal match against the English pair of Paul Drinkhall and Liam Pitchford. And settled for a Silver in the men's doubles Table Tennis competition. But Sharath Kamal clinched a Gold along with Sreeja Akula in the mixed doubles event. There was a major heartbreak for the Indian women's team as they choked against the Aussies in the Gold medal match and settled for a Silver.
Earlier, the women's Hockey team had won the bronze medal at CWG 2022.
An amazing day for India in Athletics as well, Eldhose Paul and Aboobacker won Gold and Silver in triple jump and Sandeep Kumar won bronze in a 10km race walk. Meanwhile, Annu Rani won Bronze in women's Javellin Throw.
