CWG 2022, Commonwealth Games Day 3 highlights from Birmingham:
After weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga won India's second Gold on Day 3 of the Birmingham Games in the afternoon, Achinta Sheuli clinched the country's third Gold late at night. He won Gold in the 73-kg category. Now India are at fifth position on medals tally. On Day 2, all four weightlifters won medals in all four categories with Mirabai Chanu winning India's first Gold at CWG 2022.
Meanwhile, World Champions Nikhat Zareen stormed into the quarterfinals as she knocked out Mozambique's Helena Ismael Moz in the pre-quarters. Sharath Kamal's men's TT team stormed into the semifinals.
Moreover, the Indian women's cricket team registered their first win at CWG 2022. Women In Blue thrashed their arch-rivals Pakistan T20 cricket by 8 wickets. Opener Smriti Mandhana displayed superb hitting skills and remained unbeaten on 63 runs.
Indian men's hockey team started their campaign on high and thrashed Ghana 11-0 in their 2022 opener.
