Boxer Sagar Ahlawat beat his Nigerian opponent 5-0 via a unanimous decision to enter the final of the men's over 92kg category. With that he has assured at least a silver for himself.
However, Mohammed Hussamuddin and Rohit Tokas had to settle for a bronze each in the men's 57 kg featherweight and 67 kg category respectively. While Hussamuddin lost his semifinal 1-4, Rohit went down 2-3 in quarters.

India's Lakshya Sen hardly broke a sweat as he beat Marutius' Julien Georges Paul 21-12, 21-11 to book a place in the Men's Singles semifinals.
India's Kidambi Srikanth fought hard as he beat England's Toby Penty 21-19, 21-17 to reach the Men's Singles semifinals.
It was a tough outing for PV Sindhu as she had to grind it hard for advance to the semi-final. The 2-time Olympic medallist beat Malaysia's Goh Wei Jin 19-21, 21-14, 21-18 to stay alive. However, Aakarshi Kashyap's run came to an end in the quarterfinals.
SQUASH
The Indian mixed doubles pair of Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal suffered a 0-2 loss to New Zealand's Joelle King and Paul Coll in the semifinals. They will now play for the bronze medal on Sunday.

Mirabai Chanu made India proud on Saturday by winning the country's first gold media of the 2022 Commonweath Games that are being held in Birmingham. 
On Sunday, the champion weightlifter shared a video on her Twitter account of her family celebrating her win with a traditional Manipur dance. 
Chanu's mother and relative can been seen dancing in the video with the Indian tricolour in their hand. 
On Saturday, the down to earth champion continued to win hearts even after her performance as she stayed back at theweightlifting arena and met her supporters. 
One of images on social media even shows her doing a split with a little  girl. 
Mirabai Chanu bossed the 49kg field as expected to defend her Commonwealth Games title and give India the first gold medal of the Birmingham edition here on Saturday.
The Olympic silver medallist aggregated 201kg (88kg + 113kg ) to stamp her authority in the competition and achieve a Commonwealth Games record in the process.
The silver went to Mauritius' Marie Hanitra Roilya Ranaivosoa (172kg) and bronze to Canada's Hannah Kaminski (171 kg).
In a remarkable performance, Chanu smashed the Commonwealth and CWG record in snatch. She obliterated the Games record in clean and jerk as well as total lift.
An overwhelming favourite in her weight category, the 27-year-old Chanu set a rather low starting weight of 80kg in snatch and 105kg in clean and jerk before changing her first attempt to 84kg.
Going into the competition, she had a personal best of 88kg and 119kg, a world record in clean and jerk, totalling 207kg.

On Sunday, the champion weightlifter shared a video on her Twitter account of her family celebrating her win with a traditional Manipur dance. 

Chanu bossed the 49kg weightlifting category to defend her Commonwealth Games title and give India the first gold medal of the Birmingham edition on Saturday.

Mirabai Chanu made India proud on Saturday by winning the country's first gold media of the 2022 Commonweath Games that are being held in Birmingham.&nbsp;
On Sunday, the champion weightlifter shared a video on her Twitter account of her family celebrating her win with a traditional Manipur dance.&nbsp;
Chanu's mother and relative can been seen dancing in the video with the Indian tricolour in their hand.&nbsp;
On Saturday, the down to earth champion continued to win hearts even after her performance as she stayed back at theweightlifting arena and met her supporters.&nbsp;
One of images on social media even shows her doing a split with a little&nbsp; girl.&nbsp;

Mirabai Chanu bossed the 49kg field as expected to defend her Commonwealth Games title and give India the first gold medal of the Birmingham edition here on Saturday.
The Olympic silver medallist aggregated 201kg (88kg + 113kg ) to stamp her authority in the competition and achieve a Commonwealth Games record in the process.
The silver went to Mauritius' Marie Hanitra Roilya Ranaivosoa (172kg) and bronze to Canada's Hannah Kaminski (171 kg).
In a remarkable performance, Chanu smashed the Commonwealth and CWG record in snatch. She obliterated the Games record in clean and jerk as well as total lift.
An overwhelming favourite in her weight category, the 27-year-old Chanu set a rather low starting weight of 80kg in snatch and 105kg in clean and jerk before changing her first attempt to 84kg.
Going into the competition, she had a personal best of 88kg and 119kg, a world record in clean and jerk, totalling 207kg.

India’s Anshu Malik, the World Championships Silver medalist from Haryana’s Jind district is now the Commonwealth Games Silver medalist as well.
Anshu won Silver on her Commonwealth Games debut in the Women’s 57 kg category in wrestling.

Anshu lost to Nigeria’s Odunayo, who made it a hat-trick of Gold medals at the Commonwealth Games. This was also the third consecutive time the Nigerian defeated an Indian wrestler in the final to clinch Gold at the quadrennial event.
Anshu Malik though was in top form coming into the final. She only needed around a minute each to beat her opponents in the quarter-final and semi-final. And yet, the Nigerian managed to outsmart the Indian when it mattered the most
