Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar, has been selected in the South Zone squad captained by Mayank Agarwal for the upcoming Deodhar Trophy inter-zonal 50-over competition.

The tournament is scheduled to take place in Puducherry from July 24. The squad consists of top performers from the states in the south zone, with a few players like B Sai Sudharsan being kept on standby due to their participation in the Emerging Asia Cup in Colombo from July 13-23.

Arjun Tendulkar, known for his left-arm fast-medium bowling and hard-hitting lower-order batting, made his debut for the Mumbai Indians in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League.
