    Daryl Mitchell on Tuesday fetched big bucks in IPL 2024 Auction as the New Zealand star was bought by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a whopping ₹14 crore.

    Punjab Kings was also after Mitchell and fought till the end but failed to acquire him. The Kiwi batter was the 5th-highest run-getter in Cricket World Cup 2023 and scored 552 runs in 10 games.

    They, however, bought Harshal Patel for ₹11.75 crore to bolster their bowling line-up. He was one of the 11 players released by Royal Challengers Bangalore before the auction.
