England ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule: Full fixtures, match timings, venue details

The reigning World Champions, England, will start their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against the team they beat in the Super Over in the final of the 2019 edition - New Zealand. The two sides will play the tournament opener in Ahmedabad on October 5.

Jos Buttler's side will then head to northern India, where they will play Bangladesh in Dharamsala on October 10 before visiting the capital city for their game against Afghanistan on October 14.

In Mumbai, they will lock horns with South Africa exactly a week later, followed by the clash against Qualifier 2 on October 26 in Bengaluru.

Next up will be the two most awaited battles for all England fans. They will take on India at Lucknow's Ekana on October 29 before heading to Ahmedabad again for the big clash against the Aussies on November 4.

The Three Lions will battle Qualifier 2 on November 8 in Pune and will then face Pakistan at the Eden Gardens in their final round-robin match on November 12.

Can England make it a hat-trick of World Cup titles?

Having won the 2019 ODI World Cup & the 2022 T20 World Cup, the English will be very high on confidence when they come to India to defend their crown. Their aggressive brand of cricket has been a great success in limited-overs cricket, highlighted by how they currently hold both the limited-overs World Cups.

However, their free-flowing batting will surely face a sterner test in Indian conditions, where the spinners will definitely come into play. Whether Jos Buttler's men can rise to the challenge, remains to be seen.
