India won the toss and went in to bat first. While the spirited Bangladesh bowlers came down heavily on the Mithali Raj-led side, Yastika Bhatia's 50 off 80 and a 48 run partnership between Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar for the 7th wicket helped India post a 230 run target. Nahida Akter and Ritu Moni got 2 and 3 wickets respectively.

In reply, Indian spinners wreaked havoc on Bangladesh. Sneh Rana picked 4 wickets, veteran Jhulan Goswami and Pooja Vastrakar picked 2 each as they restricted the Bangladesh women to a paltry 119. A late effort by Salma Khatun and Lata Mondal who scored 32 off 35 and 24 off 46 went in vain as Bangladesh lost all its wickets within 40 overs.

To qualify to the semis, the Women in Blue will now look to overcome South Africa in their final league match.
