IND vs WI: Skipper Rohit Sharma leads from the front with massive Test career milestone

India gained a 183-run lead after hosts West Indies were stumped for 255 on Sunday at the Port of Spain.

Furthering their attacking intent with rain around, India left no stone unturned to trouble the Windies.

With a 98-run partnership off just 71 deliveries, Indian openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma took the hosts' bowlers for a spin with their batting prowess.

Leading from the front, skipper Rohit Sharma smashed the fastest fifty of his Test career in just 35 balls which consisted of four 4s and three 6s.

The India skipper, who was dropped twice during his whirlwind knock, was finally caught at fine leg off Shannon Gabriel towards the end of the morning session.

After the fall of Sharma's wicket, it was Shubman Gill who took the crease. Following a series of subpar Test appearances, Gill powered through with a 37-ball-29.

At number 4, instead of the usual Virat Kohli, it was Ishan Kishan who walked in to hit his maiden Test half-century in 33 balls.

Moments after Kishan reached 50, Rohit Sharma declared India's innings at 181 for 2.

The visitors have to defend 289 to seal the series against West Indies after reducing the hosts for 76/2 before Stumps on Day 4.
