Many were baffled that India had decided to rest their match-winner from the first game, while several questioned whether he’s still not completely fit.

Deepak Chahar took a 3-fer in his opening spell in the first ODI in Harare, and he was adjudged player of the match for his exploits as well.

Chahar, who is making a comeback after a long injury layoff, was expected to feature in all three ODIs. He’s also a standby for the 2022 Asia Cup that starts in a few days’ time.

So, the decision to rest him came as a huge surprise for fans, with many hoping he's at least available for the final match on Monday
